Window Seat Travel Escapes

Our Journey

Welcome to Window Seat Travel Escapes! My name is Steven and my wife’s name is Kelsey. We have loved to travel since before we started dating in 2017. Our first trip together was to Las Vegas and we were hooked from there. We’ve since been to Chicago, San Diego, Oklahoma City, Branson, Dallas, Tulsa, and Kansas City. Las Vegas has always been our place and it is still our favorite place to go. We’ve been there over 10 times in the past 7 years. We loved it so much we even got married in Vegas in 2023. However, we decided it was time to expand our travels. So this year, we finally got our passports and are planning our first international trip in May to the Dominican Republic!

We have wanted to travel internationally for several years, but finances have often created challenges. Therefore, in planning this trip to the Dominican Republic, I did a ton of research on affordable all-inclusive resorts and discovered not only that I enjoyed it, but that I was good at it. When we reached out to a travel agent (after I did all this research), I discovered that my research was as comprehensive, if not more so, than the travel agent’s information (and I also found better deals). I enjoyed researching, watching videos, reading blogs, and studying about different locations, so I decided that I could turn that into something productive (hopefully to help pay for our vacations). So I decided to start a travel blog and travel agency – to pursue the passion of travel part-time.

The next step was to think of a name, and Kelsey came up with Window Seat Travel Escapes. I joked with her that I never get the window seat when we travel, because she always wants it (so she can prop her head up and sleep on the plane), but I also thought that the name was really unique, clever, and perfect for this business. My goal throughout this business is to give you all a “window seat” into the world of travel – the best views – both into our trips and into the knowledge I gain from all of my research. So follow along, subscribe, and get ready to adventure with us. I’ll make sure you get the window seat (even if Kelsey protests).
